“I Would Vote For Equity’s James Mwangi,” World Best CEO Revealed!

Every employee always wants a boss who apart from being associated with success, will always respect and appreciate them.

Great bosses are also rated depending on their companies performances as well as how they treat their staff.

What are the qualities that you would look for when defining a great boss?

According to an article on Human Resources, Jeff Bezos, the big boss of online retail store giant Amazon, has been named the world’s best CEO by Harvard Business.

According to the rankings, Bezos came out on top for delivering an industry-adjusted total shareholder return of 14,917%, as well as a country-adjusted total shareholder return of 15,189%.

What qualities do define a great boss?

Lilian Maluki, an insurance agent is of the opinion that defining a great boss, one carefully considers his or her personality.

“A great boss should not just show in paper what he posses but also in his heart and mind because it is where it matters the most,” she says.

A good boss will perfectly mentor you as an employee and lead you all the way. They also earn respect from their staff by giving respect too,” she says.

“A good boss knows how to differentiate emotions and professionalism, says Fridah Mokeira, a bank teller in the CBD.

“I remember once having a boss who could not keep her emotions at bay. She would rather scream at her employees if things did not go her way which I thought was rather unprofessional. I agree that they are human too but should also demonstrate professionalism with a bit of human blended in it,” she says.

She also adds that “Some bosses are just bullies who always want to be dictators and lead by authority.

A good boss will inspire you and give you a chance to work without intimidation,” she concludes.

After the naming of the world’s greatest CEOs, who are the greatest bosses in the country?

“This would really vary depending on the performances of their companies and how they do treat their employees.” Says Caleb Kioko, a Public Relations manager at a leading IT firm in the country.

“In my opinion I do think James Mwangi of Equity Bank is one of the greatest CEOs in the country.

Reason being he still managed to be on top regardless of competition and his bank has the highest customer count in East Africa.”

“I would vote for one Bob Collymore because he has to be one of the most outstanding CEOs in the country,” says Derrick Khaemba, a sales executive at a marketing company in the country.

“Safaricom is a big communication networks and has always been making millions of profits for years,” he says.
