Are you among those that profess they are not old enough to be a manager or a successful person?

Are you still waiting to be 35 so that you can apply for a managerial position? Then you are on the wrong track.

Time to do things is never specified. Yes they say do the right thing at the right time but not the right thing when you are 35 or when you feel ready or at 9:30 am on Saturday.

Do not drag your feet because you feel you have lesser years of experience, or a diploma while other have a masters or a PhD. The idea is to start where you are with the little you already have and as time goes by you will learn new skills that will gear you to the dream career or job.

You have your brains and you are physically fit; that is enough to initiate the journey towards your goal. Start easy with what is manageable for you such as contacts. Look at your dreams and ambitions, and decide to tackle the easy parts first. If they require the money, start analyzing ways how you will get the money instead of waiting till you have the whole amount.

The good thing is that after you begin, you start to build momentum and the harder bits are more likely to flow. In the process, you will; have networked and learnt new things or even gotten a better opportunity than you ever dreamed of.

You cannot change your personality but you can change your environment. Be aggressive and start NOW; after all most successful people did not wait for a miracle to happen.

Bottom line: You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
