You have been searching for a job for almost a year now. The stress of not having a source of income is getting to you and you are broke. What do you do to get money if you don’t have a job? Well that is what free lance jobs are for.
They enable you to earn some money while you look for a job. This can be on part time or even full time basis depending on what you want.

So here are jobs you can do to earn some money as you wait to land your dream job.
1. Content Writer.
Now if you have the passion and you can write good articles and pieces then this is the way to go. Websites in an effort to be the best are looking for content creators. So of them even pay as much as 500 shillings per article. This will depend on the number of words you write.
Imagine you are writing for a website or person that pays 300 shillings per article, if you write 3-4 articles a day you could be making 900-1200 shillings. Not bad for a day’s work.
2. Academic Writer
Now this involves writing reports, essays and even research papers for people. There are many sites that deal with this kind of writing. If you believe you are good at research and academic work then this is the job for you. You get paid to write projects and essays for people.
Some of these jobs pay as well as 12000 shillings. Payment depends on the complexity of the material and length.
For the writing jobs it’s important to remember that there are fraudulent jobs out there and you should be careful when picking the jobs.
3. Advertising and Marketing
We have all seen people in the streets marketing products from various companies. Those people handing out flyers or offering information on a particular brand. This is mostly seen with big companies like Safaricom, Coca Cola, Gentle and more. Some of these people earn upwards of 1000 shillings a day.
My friend used to do this all the time while we were in campus. It was a good way to supplement pocket money. So the next time you hear of such jobs go for it. They are always there and they pay pretty well depending on the organisation.
4. Data Entry
These jobs require computer literacy and fast typing skills. It basically involves entering data into an electronic format. By his I mean you could get a document and have to upload it in Excel. The jobs require no research and all you have to do is use the information provided.
Go ahead and start your own blog. So many people are making money from there blogs for example, Sharon Mundia the renowned fashion blogger. With blogs you make money depending on how many views you have. The more people visit your blog the more money you will eventually make.
6. Social Media Marketing
Do you have thousands of followers on Twitter, Instagram and even Facebook? Then you can use this as an opportunity to make money. Organisations pay people with a large online presence to market their products and brands for them. The more followers the more clients and money you get. This requires you to be very active on social media and build a loyal following.
