General Manager Job in Eldoret

An establishment in Eldoret is looking for an experienced, energetic and professional Food and Beverage expert to manage the operations of the very busy hotel.

The manager must possess strong communication skills, demonstrate outstanding leadership and problem solving skills and be a team player. The Manager must be computer literate and conversant with the latest hotel and hospitality regulations.

Responsibilities for the General Manager Job

• Planning and managing of the resort, conferences, accommodation and other hotel services
• Development and implementation of hotel policies
• Preparing budgets and financial planning for the hotel
• Setting targets and achieving the targeted sales and profits
• Develop and implement activities to increase guest numbers including developing unique events for different occasions
• Maintenance, renovations, furnishings and improvement of hotel facilities
• Human resource management of hotel staff
• Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement

Qualifications for the General Manager Job                 

• A diploma or degree in hospitality or food and beverage management will be an added advantage
• Previous role as an  F&B manager is an added advantage
• MUST be between 35 and 45 Years old
• MUST have proven supervisory or management experience in Food and Beverage
• Good time management, communication and service skills
• Strong events management skills
• Previous experience I managing a night club (added advantage)
• Must have ability to comply with all Food and Beverage brand standards
• MUST have ability to work under pressure and be confident
• Exhibit willingness to develop team members and self flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Ability to work on your own or in teams
• MUST be willing to provide police clearance
