A majority of candidates are vigilant when it comes to job opportunities in the NGO Sector. But most times candidates are not usually prepared for the interview when it comes to salary negotiation.

Oxfam International is one of the oldest NGOs that works to end world poverty and injustice and has its offices in 94 countries.

How is the remuneration package of the NGO?
They offer a market competitive salary where gross salaries are set to take into account market competitiveness and internal equity. They salaries are also designed to reward your skills and competences.

As an employee you also get a chance of having your salary reviewed annually.

As posted on our website an engineering job (Public Health Engineer (PHE) Advisor ) at Oxfam will earn you K’shs 279,916 gross per month

A marketing job as a Funding Coordinator will earn a salary of K’shs. 210,608 per month while an Accounting Job will earn between K’shs 205,064 – K’sh287,090 monthly.

The company is also responsible for paying your taxes or social security liabilities relating to your employment in the country where you work.

The Benefits
It offers a retirement provision for its staff, which will be either contributions to a pension scheme or an end of employment payment related to your years of service.

Employees also enjoy a medical cover as well as basic and essential medical treatment where there is inadequate provision. However, this is provided for the employee up to a local annual limit.

Oxfam also provides a variety of insurances to its employees. They are provided to cover various scenarios, including business travel, personal accident, global household, leisure travel and life assurance.

Employees also enjoy an annual leave equal to 33 days per year (including public holidays).
