22 Yr Old Job Seeker Found With Fake Certificate says, “My Mother Got It For Me.”

They say if you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.

The job seeker in this scenario had plans alright, he was out looking for a job but what he got at the end of the day was find himself locked up at Nyeri Police Station.

Why you ask? It seems like 22 Charles Mwaniki Ndirangu didn’t read The National Service Police Commission police recruitment job advert where a part of it clearly read, candidates who canvass directly or indirectly whether knowingly, willingly and blatantly lies, misrepresents, cheats and fails to disclose material facts or engages in any corrupt activity will be disqualified and risk being arrested and prosecuted.

Mr Ndirangu is reported to have presented a fake Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in Nyeri and tried to convince the law enforcers that his document was indeed genuine but unfortunately for him his plans didn’t fly at the recruitment centre.

In his defence, the young man is quoted by The Standard saying, “I was unaware my document was not genuine because it was my mother who collected it for me. I don’t believe it is fake.”

Assume the 22 years old didn’t go the ‘Riverroad’ way of acquiring academic certificates in order to qualify for a job , and his mother as he says did indeed get the papers from the school principal, does it mean fake learning institutions are not just about colleges and ‘universities’?
