Quitters never win, and these are the reasons why you should not quit

How many times have you applied for that dream job and now you feel like you cannot do it?

Or are you already employed and you have been trying effortlessly to climb up the ladder but you seem to be going nowhere?

Do not quit yet for quitters never win.

An interesting motivational article reads, “It is a fact of life that despite all your best efforts at planning, strategizing and being careful not to make mistakes some things will go wrong.”

Even the best laid plans fail, but what matters is what you do after things go wrong.

In the article the author says that there are two ways to handle a setback, either as a pessimist or as an optimist.

“The optimist will see a setback as being temporary, whereas the pessimist will view it as permanent,” says the author

The author goes ahead and advices that one should never make permanent decisions based on temporary solutions.

“Also there are times when I have heard people complain that their businesses are failing because they do not hail from influential families or because so and so tells people not to seek services from them. Well it’s not yet time to quit,” the article reads.

Take a healthy view of the event and realize that it’s external and not necessarily caused by you. Realize that there is probably nothing you could have done personally to prevent what happened from happening.

To never be a quitter you need to have the right attitude, as your attitude when things go wrong is at the end of the day more important than the event itself.

“If you have been defeated by a negative attitude towards setbacks do not lose hope. Admitting your mistakes is the first step to correcting them,” the author writes.

He adds that, “It is a matter of choice. You can make the choice, whenever faced with a difficulty to look at it from an optimistic point of view rather than a pessimistic one.”
