Would You Seek The Services Of ‘Prophet’ Kanyari To Get A Job? Kenyans Speak Out

By Jane Okoth

He is now the talk of town and for the wrong reasons thanks to Jicho Pevu exposure of his fraudulent activities to rob innocent Kenyans.

The self proclaimed prophet has reached out to many individuals in desperate situations offering to help them if they were to “plant a seed” as his famous theme suggests.

From problems of unemployment and terminal illness, Prophet Victor Kanyari has claimed to perform miracles to eradicate such predicaments.

With the current state of unemployment in the country, desperation would lead many Kenyans to do anything just to escape being unemployed.

Turning to job seekers, would you seek the services of Dr Kanyari to get a job?

“If it was before Jicho Pevu then yes because I believed the guy,” says Sam Ndolo, a recent graduate at a Public University.

“I would have sought for his help. After all what is the harm of only parting with only 310 Kenya shillings in order to secure a well paying job?” he asks.

“If he had not been earlier exposed, I would not think twice about sending money to this fellow,” he adds.

“I would never even consider asking any services from this doctor because it is quite clear that he is a fraudster,” says Albert Ochieng, a student at a middle level college.

He also opines that “The problem with Kenya is we wait for a pastor to be exposed and reviews about his ‘fake miracles’ and on Sunday we go to another fake pastor to plant a seed for success or for a job.”

“For me I would not be fooled by Kanyari but I am not sure about my other fellow Kenyans,” he concludes.

“Desperation can drive you to do just anything to secure a job including seeking the services of a witch doctor.”

The issue is that Kenyans are always very gullible and the likes of Kanyari would not waste a single opportunity to manipulate them,” says Robert Wafula a Kenyan job seeker.

“Yes it is very easy for Kenyans to say that they cannot be fooled by him, what if your pastor was a Kanyari in disguise?” he asks.

“We know how loyal some of us are to our pastors and churches. When being asked to produce a tithe in order to secure a job we don’t object. I can assure you that they are also taking advantage of us yet we are so quick to condemn Kanyari” he adds.

“It is very unfortunate to have such individuals and I would advice job seekers to look for jobs using the right and professional way,” he concludes.

What is your say on the matter? Would you trust a self proclaimed prophet to secure a job in the name of “panda mbegu?”
