The company has 3 programmes for job seekers namely: Young Talent programmes, Graduate Programme and Workplace Experience Programme.
The Young Talent programme is a platform for the company to offer bursaries and employ new graduates, interns and in-service trainees in different disciplines across the organisation each year.
This programme focuses on job seekers from the supply chain, engineering, technical, customer management and marketing fields.
The Graduate Programme on the other hand, seeks graduates who are self-motivated team players, efficient, flexible and able to think on their feet in an ever-changing world.
It is a 12 month learning programme for graduates who have just completed an appropriate 3 or 4 year qualification. At the end of the training they are employed as permanent employees.
To be successful one should have a desire to build a career with Tiger Brands, have a sound academic record from an accredited institution and recently have completed their 3 or 4 year tertiary qualification.
Other requirements include: high achievement and innovation throughout their qualification, having not worked full time (more than 1 year, not including workplace experience) in field of study, computer literacy in MS Word and Excel and a valid driver’s license.
Students eligible for this post should possess a BCom with majors in Logistics, Marketing, Supply Chain, HR or a BEng/BSc Electrical/ Industrial / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or BSc Biochemistry, Chemistry, Food Science, Nutrition and Food Science, Microbiology and Pharmacy.
Those with a Bsc in Information Technology, Tech Engineering (Electrical/Industrial/Mechanical/Chemical) Biotechnology, Food Science, Food Technology can also apply.
Finally, the Workplace Experience Programme monitors the period of time students obtain formal work experience. Successful ‘Workplace
Experience students’ can apply to join the Tiger Brands Graduate programme or for an appropriate vacant role within the group
To be selected for this programme, candidates must have a sound academic record at an accredited institution. They must also require an in-service training period to complete their qualification.
Interested applicants should note that Tiger Brands sources students for the workplace experience programme from Marketing; Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement/Purchasing, Planning; Electrical, Chemical, Industrial and Mechanical Engineering fields.
Students from the Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Food Science, Nutrition, Food Technology; Finance; Human Resources and Information Technology fields are also chosen.
The company welcomes applications from international students to fill the talent pipeline for it’s international operations.
Applications for the 2015 Tiger Brands Graduate programme will re-open for the 2016 Graduate Programme on the 1st June 2015 and close on the 31st August 2015.
