Sample Career Objective For A Customer Service Job.
Job applications are a funny thing. We’re afraid to be ourselves so we hide behind words that make us look like everyone else. However, when you are writing the career objective, you want the employer to know which type of role they should keep you in mind for.
As such, you should aim to be as specific and unique as possible in order to stand out from the other job seekers in the job market. You are trying hard to get hired and you want to be seen as unique and worth the hire.
According to Melody Mwendwa, a CV Writing expert and Interview coach at Corporate Staffing Services, a person seeking a customer service job needs to first define their areas of interests before they define their career objective.
Where should the Career Objective appear on your CV?
It is no secret that employers have huge stacks of applications to get through before they identify a candidate that they want to hire. This will mean that not all of them go through the cover letter to understand exactly what kind of job you are looking for and what you can do. This is where the career objective comes in handy.
A faster way is to provide the career objective is on the top portion of your CV, right below where your name, address and contact info appear. This is because you want it to be noticed first, just in case the person reading the CV is in a hurry.
” The career objective is listed under your profile summary and should not be longer than one sentence or at least not more than30 words.”
She adds that career objectives are best when the job seeker has taken the time to tailor it for the specific job they are applying to.
