1.Gikomba

You guessed right! Gikomba has to be one of the best clothing markets in the whole country. Gikomba Market is the hub of all second-hand markets.

This is where Mitumba Bails are offloaded and packed for distribution to other markets in other parts of the Country.

Did you know that some of the clothes in Gikomba are new?

When a clothes Company in the US produces clothes, some of them end up being ‘rejects’. Maybe the colour of one garment did not match with the rest of the collection.

The same happens with shoes.

These ‘rejects’ end up being shipped to countries like Kenya, in the name of ‘Mtumba.’

Some of these good quality clothes are sold at even 2K in Gikomba because they are very good quality.

In Gikomba you can get clothes as cheap as 20 shillings,  all the way to 3K.

Gikomba remains to be the best place to shop for low income earners in Kenya.
