2. Travel Operations
One-and-half-year Certificate course offering specialized training in Travel Agency and Tour Operation Techniques.

This department began operations in 1975. It was established to train food production personnel for the industry. It is mandated to train and develop food production technical and management staff for the Hospitality Industry.
The Department also trains Management students in the areas of: Culinary Skills, Kitchen Management, Organization and Food Knowledge. It’s a 1½ year full time course.

4. House Keeping & Laundry
Housekeeping and Laundry has been the back bone of any hospitality industry. Its importance cannot be over emphasized as it plays a key role in determining the success or failure of any hospitality organization.
Provision of a clean, safe, secure, attractive and comfortable environment to the guests and employees is of paramount importance in meeting today’s customer demands.

5. Front Office
This is a 1½ year programme that prepares students to effectively work as Receptionists, Guest Relations officers, Reservation Agents, Cashiers and Night auditors.
During training students undergo extensive practical training at both the college and its application hotel-Utalii Hotel. The course also includes a compulsory three months industrial attachment at the end of the course.
After Graduating, students are expected to work in the various sections of the Front Office. Reception, Cashiering. Guest Relations, Switchboard and Night.
