First, they want to work within a fair budget. When they have this information, they can be able to find out the kind of compensation to offer you. Obviously, your potential employer wants to know what you’d like to earn.
According to Cynthia Wangeci, a Recruitment Manager at Corporate Staffing Services, today’s job market is offering Procurement Assistants a salary between KSh 50,000 and 85,000 depending on the individual’s experience, industry, and company.
Sometimes you will find companies paying a starting salary of KSh 70,000 to candidates with good experience, while others will offer 40,000 for the same position,” adds Wangeci.
In a recent advert, for example, Unilever Company is hiring a procurement assistant with the indicated salary being 45,000 to 60,000. The minimum qualifications required are a degree in business related field, excellent computing Skills among others. The assistant is expected to assist in the running of tea tasting operations, auction data management and receipt, storage and disposal of tea samples.
That means any number between this range is acceptable.
Therefore, from this information, the average salary will be between KSh 50,000 and 60,000. Whether in your CV or in an interview, you should use this figure to safeguard your chances of getting the job.
