1. Make the Most of Your Mornings
It can be very tempting to just sleep in on Saturday just because you want to relax. However, you are more productive in the morning so it only makes sense that you utilize this.
Instead of waking up at 11 just try and wake up at the same time you normally do during the week. Use that time to do the things you need to do, finish some housework, plan for the next week, learn a new skill or something productive.
So this weekend instead of sleeping in and wasting a whole morning away, wake up and do things that will improve your life or career. This way you end up feeling like you achieved something over the weekend.
2. Don’t save everything for the weekend
One big mistake almost everyone makes is saving things for the weekend. This means postponing things you should do during the week to do on the weekend such as laundry, meetings, cleaning, reading and more.
What this does is it fills up your weekend and you end up feeling like you don’t have enough time to do everything which then leads to you not doing them.
What happens if you avoid doing these things because you feel pressured so by the end of the weekend you find you did not do anything productive?
3. Take Fridays Seriously
It’s Friday and you just want to relax and enjoy the weekend. This means that sometimes very little work gets done and as such the work spills over into the weekend.
Don’t be the kind of person who tries to catch up with work you should have done on Friday on Saturday.
Instead, you need to take Fridays seriously and ensure you have no leftover work that cannot wait until the next week. This frees up time for you to focus on other things in your life be it your business, learning a new skill etc.
4. Plan ahead
Lastly, in order to ensure that you are productive through the coming week as well, you should go ahead and plan for it. Use this time to ensure that you achieve more over the coming week as well.
