Whether you are speaking to your boss, a client, in an interview, a small group or a large audience, you must have realized that you need a certain form of confident presence.
And once again, another professional finally made it out of the ‘burning platform’ of fear!
Quickly See This >>> Why You Become Nervous In Interviews & What You Can Do
Anna, an executive personal assistant in an NGO in Nairobi, couldn’t hide her emotions as she narrated this experience to us.
I mean, who can anyway?
Anna says her colleagues always considered her an eloquent and confident person. She considers herself an extrovert but wondered why she could never gather the courage to naturally make presentations.
They would always single her out to make impromptu presentations mostly at KICC where most of their meetings were held. And she insist that the audience was always executive as you can imagine.
Her boss would on numerous occasions send her out to represent him in other meetings.
“However, what my boss and colleagues did not know is that I was struggling to make those presentations happen, struggling to maintain my nerves while presenting, struggling to put my point across which often left me completely worn out after the meetings.
Honestly, confidence never came to me naturally!
And the irony is that everyone assumed quite the opposite! I envied other people whose confident seemed automatic and natural and that’s why I jumped at this opportunity to register for the “Speak With Confidence” training that I saw in my email inbox.
One of the most valuable things I learned during the training is that your body language accounts for over 50% of your entire presentation!
And that’s what people use to judge you with.
And right now, though I still get a little nervous, I can speak boldly, make powerful presentations and influence opinions with great confidence!
I’ve mastered how to not only grow my confidence but how to exude the perfect body language such as eye-contact, vocabulary, movement among others while addressing people.”
Perhaps you share Anna’s sentiments…
Or her experience resonates with yours. It’s not too late.
