This is a one and half years programme that prepares students to effectively work in a hotel as Receptionist, Guest Relations Officers, Reservation officers, cashiers, and Front Office Accounts Auditors. The students are equipped with knowledge in practical training at the Utalii Hotel before being attached for three months to various Hotels in Kenya.

Requirements: KCSE Aggregate C- with, English C- and Mathematics/Business Studies D+ or any other equivalent qualification.

2. Certificate in Tour Guiding & Administration

The Travel Operations course is 1 ½ year certificate programme, designed to train Travel and Tour Consultants with operational skills to work for Travel and Tours sectors in the Tourism industry. The course includes a 3 months industrial attachment.

Requirements: KCSE Aggregate C- with an English C- and History/Geography D+ or any other equivalent qualification

3. Diploma in Hotel Management

The Hotel management Course is a three-year diploma course designed to equip students with knowledge and skills of hospitality facilities management. The programme exposes students to operational approaches of supervising and managing hospitality establishments. Students go through all areas of hotel operations theoretically and practically and in the last year the management of these areas.  To enhance the management skills of the candidates, the students are attached to Utalii Hotel, there are also two industrial attachments in second and third year. The students then put into practice what they have learned by holding an event every year. Research skills are also imparted through a group consultancy project where students research issues that affect the hotel industry.

Requirements: KCSE aggregate C, English C+, and Mathematics/Business Studies C- and any other equivalent qualifications.

4. Diploma in Travel & Tourism Management

The Travel and Tourism Management course is a 3-year Diploma programme, designed to train personnel in the Travel and Tourism Industry. It equips students with supervisory and operational skills. The course includes a 6 months industrial attachment.

Requirements: KCSE aggregate C, English C+, and Mathematics/Geography C- and any other equivalent qualifications.

5. Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management

It is a four-year degree course designed with a view to blending theory with practically oriented courses so as to equip the graduate with tools to enable him/her to confidently manage hospitality establishments bearing the global trends in mind. Students are able to specialize in various areas when in the third and fourth year. The course is not complete without six months in training which is done upon completion of coursework.

Graduates are able to work in Hotels, Universities Catering units, Clubs and Casinos, Cruise Ships and all other catering and hospitality institutions as departmental managers rising to the ranks of general managers. The programme is entrepreneurial based and graduates can establish and manage their own micro, small and medium hospitality based enterprises.

6. Bachelor of Arts in Travel and Tourism Management

This is a four-year degree course meant to equip the graduate with tools to enable him/her to confidently manage tours and travel establishments bearing the global trends in mind. Students are able to specialize in various areas when in the third and fourth year. The course is not complete without six months in training which is done upon completion of coursework.

Graduates are able to work in tours and travel firms, Airlines as departmental managers rising to the ranks of general managers. The programme is entrepreneurial based and graduates can establish and manage their own micro, small and medium tours, and travel based enterprises.
