1. Skipping breaks and meals

A break will help you relieve stress and come back to work fresh. Take time to walk around and experience some fresh air. This will help you avoid fatigue.

2. Winging it on Mondays

One way to ensure you succeed at something is to always ensure you are prepared for it. The same should apply to your work, you should always prepare for the next week well in advance.

How you start week will define how you end it most of the time. If you want to have a productive week, start your Monday off by being well prepared.

For example, if you have a meeting, prepare for it well and also go through everything you need to do for that week.

3. Procrastination

This means that you need to ensure you are in constant communication with them. Networking does not end after you have met a few people at an event. You need to continuously keep in touch with all these people in order to build relationships with them.

By staying in communication, you stay in the minds of your networks and when an opportunity comes up that could be perfect for you, they will remember to recommend you.

5. Being too lazy to learn

A great way to ensure you always grow in your career is by continuous learning. There will always be something new in your industry that you need to get updated on.

Not only that, but improving your soft skills is also a great way to improve your chances of growing at work.

You can do this by taking leadership training if you want to get that managerial position, taking public speaking classes in order to improve your communication skills.

Whatever it is, you should always be willing to learn something new that can boost your career.
