The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERG) is a State Corporation established under the Energy Act 2006. The Commission is the energy sector regulatory agency responsible for Economic and Technical Regulation of Electric Power, Renewable Energy and Downstream Petroleum sub-sectors.

The Commission is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced, result-oriented and highly motivated Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant position:

Reporting to the Senior Records Management Officer, the successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring security and safety of all records and documents including appropriately filing, maintaining and updating records.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for this grade will entail assisting in:

  • Implementing records management policies and procedures;
  • Ensuring security of files and information;
  • Ensuring proper handling of documents, pending correspondences and bring ups;
  • Preparing disposal schedules in accordance with relevant National Archives guidelines and regulations;
  • Classifying and indexing of records;
  • Ensuring effective mail management; and
  • Maintaining, verifying and evaluating existing records management systems.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Records Management, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Proficiency in computer applications; and
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Other Requirements

Applicants are required to provide a detailed CV indicating their current and previous employers, positions held, current and expected salary, names of at least three professional referees, education and professional certificates together with a copy of national identity card or passport.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and provide:

  1. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
  2. Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
  3. Tax compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
  4. Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
  5. Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
