Our client, an award-winning provider of integrated business and technology solutions, is building a new business line that will focus on deploying disruptive digital technologies to enable financial inclusion, automate banking and facilitate cashless payments.
Therefore, our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join their young and vibrant team. He/she will specialize in the sales and marketing Products and Services to prospective customers across the Eastern Africa region.The incumbent shall focus on growing market share, market acceptance, the number of customer touch points.
- Spearhead the new business efforts for the Eastern Africa region with a focus on developing
new relationships with customers in the Banking sector.
- Responsible for business development activities including creation of a rich pipeline of
prospective opportunities, negotiate and close profitable business, and work with an account
services team to drive a high level of customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Build market intelligence and participate in defining new strategic opportunities, go to market
plans and developing strategic partnerships with companies that will increase product reach or
create additional revenue opportunities.
- Collaboratively develop regional marketing initiatives, arrange promotional programs, activities
- 3+ years of sales experience operating at managerial level.
- Experience selling enterprise-level software to Banking and / or Financial Services clients.
- Extensive knowledge of technology sales cycles and processes.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Fluent English in speaking and writing.
- Experience in mobile banking, payments and/or software platform technologies.
- Knowledge of the financial technology market.
- Bachelor’s degree.
