  • Provision of fisheries extension services;
  • Collecting fisheries statistical data;
  • Maintaining fish farms and hatcheries; and
  • Assisting in ensuring hygienic fish handling at fish landing sites, markets and farms.


For appointment to this grade, one must:-

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
  • Have a Certificate in either Fisheries management aquaculture. Natural resources Management or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution or any other equivalent field from a recognized institution
  • Have a Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
  • Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of C- (minus) or its equivalent.

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
