Riara Hair Studio is located along Riara Road in Kilimani, Nairobi. We are looking to hire an experienced Hairdresser and Beautician responsible for ensuring that the standard and quality of hairdressing and beauty services at Riara Hair Studio is maintained at the highest level at all times. The successful candidate will have a pleasant personality, attention to detail and a positive work attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, accurately identify their needs and help them feel good about themselves.
• Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, weaves, twists, dreadlocks etc
• Wash, rinse and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalp)
• Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. for color protection).
• Apply a wide range of hair coloring techniques e.g. highlights.
• Provide manicure, pedicure, waxing and facial services.
• Manage bookings and maintain updated client records.
• Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences.
• Cross-sell hair care and beauty products or services, when appropriate.
• Recommend hairstyles and beauty regimes according to customers’ needs and personal styles.
• Ensure tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed.
• Keep track of stock levels.
