Restaurant Pastry Chef Job, Hotel Kenyan Jobs 2021,
Our client a high end restaurant is currently looking to hire a Pastry Chef.
- Directs and oversees the pastry and baking functions of the kitchen
- Menu planning and development
- Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings.
- Create new and exciting desserts and reviewing the current dessert menu
- Decorate pastries and desserts using different types of icings toppings etc. and ensure the food presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
- Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
- Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
- Manages all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
- Able to develop, design, or creates new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen.
- College Diploma from a Culinary Institution
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an active pastry and bakery department
- Leadership skills
- Multi -Tasker
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify and delegate tasks effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledgeable of food safety regulations.
