Role Profile: EQUIPMENTS OPERATOR

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the Warehouse Handling contributes to them.
• Operations handling equipment and motor vehicle to support business needs Responsible for the safe movement and operation of equipment’s within the warehouse loading area and airside in full compliance with IATA, KAA, Airline and Company safety guidelines.
• Operates tractor, Forklift, Reach truck and mobile plants (equipment)in a safely manner.
• Operate and provide services using equipment as instructed by the loading/Operations supervisor.
• Physical inspection of the Equipments for any visible damages like dents and scratches before starting to load and inform the loading supervisor.
• Reporting to the loading supervisor any incidents, accidents, damage, dents or scratches caused on to the equipment for provision of a solution and remedial action.
• Reporting equipment defects in a timely manner to prevent avoidable damage and loss of loading time.
• Ensuring the equipment is clean and presentable at all times.
• Parking the equipment at the designated area to ensure safety standards are maintained.

Qualifications

• ‘O’ Level (KCSE)
• Valid BCDE driving License
• At least 3 years’ accident free – driving Forklift ,Tractor & Reach Truck
• Previous experience Aviation/warehouse cargo handling is desired.
• Solid understanding of applicable legislative requirements
