The Taita Taveta County Public Service Board invites applications from suitable and qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions in the County Government of Taita Taveta.

 Number of Posts: One (1)

Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission


For appointment to this Grade a candidate must:-

  • Have Degree in any of the following fields:- Fisheries, Zoology, Aquatic Science, Natural resource management, Biochemistry, Food science and Technology, Environmental Science , Biological sciences, Physical Science, Chemistry or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
  • Certificate in Computer applications skills from a recognized institution


An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of an experienced officer.

  • Receiving and compiling fisheries related statistical data from the field
  • Analyzing fisheries data and preparing
  • Assist in monitoring, control and surveillance of the fisheries
  • Undertaking fisheries extension activities; maintaining of ponds at fish farms and
  • Inspecting fish and fish handling facilities at fish landing sites, marketing and
  • Assisting in the promotion of fish marketing and value
  • Any other duties related to Livestock & Fisheries development assigned by the Director
