Our client is one of the oldest and largest Fund Management companies in Kenya’s Pension Industry. This Fund Manager seeks to hire a curious, resourceful and industrious individual as a “Property Research Analyst” to provide the Investment Team at the Fund Manager’s Investment Team research around the Real Estate industry, and produce analytical reports and recommendations on target Investments.

Responsibilities

Research

• Collection, collation and analysis of both real estate industry and pension industry statistics, that will drive insights that should inform strategic decisions on investments.
• Undertaking real estate market research for asset identification, asset review, business case preparation and asset acquisition processes.
• Conduct comprehensive market research trends and consumer demographics, preferences, needs and buying habits.

Database Management 

• Maintain / track all property listings received, analysed, advanced or rejected including their respective various characteristics traits.
• Maintain / track all property investment products in the industry and track their comparability (competitive / complementary aspects).
• Conducting research on comparable pension investment products, property asset options and comparables (both sales and rentals) and investigation of potential issues that may affect current or future values of target investments.

Transaction Management

• Responsibility for the administration elements of all aspects of the investment process and asset acquisition process – from asset identification and qualification through to the completion of transfer including administrative management of the legal parties to the transactions during conveyancing process for multiple assets.

General Transaction Administration 

• Perform other duties as assigned which may include but are not limited to sourcing for property listings, managing minutes and document packs of the investment commitee, conduct/manage property site visits and asset reviews, discuss conditions of sale, and draft real estate sale and lease contracts in conjuction with other relevant partices to transaction.
