Qualifications

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Economics, Project Planning and Management, Statistics, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

(b) Duties and Responsibilities:

The Planning Officer will report to the Chief Manager, Corporate Planning and Strategy through the Principal Planning Officer and will be responsible for the following:

• Draft work plans and budgets;
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports;
• Draft performance contracts for the Board and NG-CDF Committees:
• Assist in formulation of the strategic plan in consultation with key stakeholders to facilitate effective realisation of the organisation’s mandate;
• Assist in undertaking annual review of the strategic plan in view of changes in the operational environment;
• Provide support in formulation and review of various policy documents;
• Assist in monitoring and evaluation of Board interventions.
• Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Duly executed self-declaration form from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission;

Clearance from Kenya Revenue Authority;

Clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);

Clearance from a reputable Credit Reference Bureau.
