Job Description:
- Abyssinia Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee and manage the payroll processes for the organization. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in payroll management, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and efficient payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data input, calculations, and disbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify and process changes to employee records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with relevant Labor laws and regulations related to payroll.
- Generate and submit statutory reports as required by local authorities.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related deductions.
Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee profiles, earnings, and deductions.
- Develop and implement recordkeeping systems to streamline payroll processes.
Tax Compliance:
- Manage and reconcile payroll tax obligations, including income tax and social security contributions.
- Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and adjust payroll processes accordingly.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve any payroll-related issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in Kenya.
- Proficient in payroll software and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferably Gujarat speaking
