Technical Assistance – Line maintenance Job Kenya Airways

Brief Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for the safe driving and care of KQ vehicles and property. He/she will always comply with the traffic regulations and the Organizations’ policies and regulations on vehicle Management as well as the Kenya Traffic Act CAP 403, Laws of Kenya.

Detailed Description

Principal Accountabilities (Responsibility)

  • Support technicians/engineers on timely delivery of spare parts for timely departures.
  • Logistics – Deliveries of aircraft materials between aircrafts, workshops, production areas, and collecting technical stores.
  • Drive KQ vehicles, and or equipment as shall be assigned by the Supervisor in a safe and economical manner in conjunction with the regulations in place.
  • The Logistic Assistant is responsible for the routine check-up of the vehicles, routine check-up to include but not limited to oil, brake function, water, lights & tire condition, windshield wipers, etc.
  • Confirm availability of vehicle tools and equipment’s before, during and after work.
  • The Assistant shall always maintain assigned vehicles clean and in good condition, properly for the convenience of the Organizations’ operations.
  • He/she shall ensure compliance with the given directives.
  • The Assistant shall handover the assigned vehicles by doing a comprehensive handover report at end of shift.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Check that required tools and equipment are available and in good order and serviceable.
  • Timely Spare delivery in the ramp to support departing flights.
  • Support on servicing logistics.
  • Aircraft towing activities from base to line to support maintenance events.  

Job Requirements

Qualification (Minimum)  

  • Minimum of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Grade C Plain and Valid Driving license class BCE and all required training by KAA.
  • Valid Certificate of good conduct.
  • You are knowledgeable of the relevant laws and Traffic Act.
  • 5 years relevant work experience.
  • You have experience in logistics.
