The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our client’s team in Tanzania. This pivotal role will oversee daily operations, drive business growth, and ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage departmental finances in collaboration with MD & Finance team
• Oversee all operational aspects, including budgeting and resource allocation
• Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders and management
• Develop and implement strategies for business growth and client retention
• Lead staff recruitment, training, and development initiatives
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify professional development opportunities
• Stay current with industry trends and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in logistics/transport, with 3+ years in a managerial role
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills
• Excellent communication and client-handling abilities
• In-depth knowledge of the transport/logistics industry and regulations
• Proven leadership in staff management and development
• Experience in business development and client growth
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Experience in training drivers and staff
• Proficiency in transport management software
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
