Technicians- 2 Positions Job Topking Tyre Center

We are seeking skilled and experienced Automotive Technicians with a passion for diagnosing and repairing vehicles while providing excellent customer service to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Diagnosis: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using advanced diagnostic tools, including digital and computer-based diagnostic equipment.
• Repair & Maintenance: Perform maintenance services such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire installations, wheel alignments and other repairs in accordance with service guidelines.
• Troubleshoot complex vehicle problems and recommend the most efficient repair methods.
• Perform detailed testing and assessments on vehicle parts and systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components, to ensure they are functioning correctly and meet safety and performance standards.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship in all repairs, minimizing return issues and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Record Keeping: Document all repairs, parts used and work performed in the service order system, ensuring accuracy for both the customer and the service center.
• Safely operate and maintain tools and diagnostic equipment. Ensure tools are clean, calibrated and stored properly after use.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols when performing repairs, ensuring the safety of self, colleagues and customers.
• Provide clear and accurate explanations to customers regarding their vehicle’s condition and necessary repairs and provide great customer service.
• Stay informed about the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. Participate in ongoing training and certifications as needed.
• Work closely with the service manager, other technicians and staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering or equivalent field. Certification from a recognized technical institution (KNEC, NITA e.t.c.) is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a service center or dealership.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical manuals.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Car mechanic skills, such as changing the oil, checking disc and drum brakes etc
• Extensive knowledge of internal combustion engines
• Excellent knowledge of car designs and brands
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
