Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Advisory Support

  • Shape the strategic direction for second-life device operations, ensuring market-specific needs are met while aligning with M-KOPA’s overall strategy.
  • Serve as an advisory partner to local teams, providing guidance and expertise on implementing second-life device programs effectively.
  • Identify new market opportunities, assess risks, and recommend strategies for continuous growth in the second-life device space.

Project Management & Implementation

  • Lead the design and execution of pilot programs, and scale successful initiatives across markets.
  • Establish clear project objectives, budgets, and timelines, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Support market teams through the implementation process, offering on-the-ground guidance and ensuring consistency in approach and quality.

Operational Coordination & Best Practices

  • Develop and document best practices for buy-back programs, trade-ins, and sales strategies, creating a global playbook for these operations.
  • Guide country teams in launching and optimizing second-life device programs, providing ongoing training and support.
  • Oversee the coordination of second-life device operations across M-KOPA’s five markets, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

Performance Monitoring & Market Insights

  • Define and track KPIs to monitor the progress and performance of second-life device sales.
  • Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends, providing strategic recommendations for improving M-KOPA’s market position.
  • Regularly report on program performance to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the technology or telecommunications sector.
  • Experience in the refurbished or second-hand device market is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-market operations and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects across diverse markets.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
