Requirements for appointment

• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Bachelor of Law (L.L.B) degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
• Post graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law; membership to the law society of Kenya
• Must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate
• A minimum experience of Five (5) years post admission
• Be a member of Law Society of Kenya and in good standing; and Meets the requirements of Chapter six of Constitution.
• Proficiency in computer skills will be an added advantage

Duties and responsibilities

• Shall, on the instructions of the county attorney represent the county executive in court or in any other legal proceedings to which the county executive is a party, other than criminal proceedings.
• On the instructions of the County Attorney, Negotiate, draft, vet and interpret documents and Agreements for and on behalf of the County Executive and its agencies.
• Undertaking legal research and proving sound advisory brief on legal matters to the County Government.
• Assist in drafting of pleadings on behalf of the County Attorney;
• Handling pre-legal disputes and inquiries, preparing legal opinions and legal briefs
• Perform any other function that may be assigned from time to time.
• Terms: Permanent and Pensionable
• Remunerations: As set by the Salary and Remuneration Commission (SRC)

• Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board. (HELB).
• Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-CorruptionCommission (EACC).
• A Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
