Requirements for appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- Bachelor of Law (L.L.B) degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
- Post graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law; membership to the law society of Kenya
- Must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate
- A minimum experience of Five (5) years post admission
- Be a member of Law Society of Kenya and in good standing; and Meets the requirements of Chapter six of Constitution.
- Proficiency in computer skills will be an added advantage
Duties and responsibilities
- Shall, on the instructions of the county attorney represent the county executive in court or in any other legal proceedings to which the county executive is a party, other than criminal proceedings.
- On the instructions of the County Attorney, Negotiate, draft, vet and interpret documents and Agreements for and on behalf of the County Executive and its agencies.
- Undertaking legal research and proving sound advisory brief on legal matters to the County Government.
- Assist in drafting of pleadings on behalf of the County Attorney;
- Handling pre-legal disputes and inquiries, preparing legal opinions and legal briefs
- Perform any other function that may be assigned from time to time.
- Terms: Permanent and Pensionable
- Remunerations: As set by the Salary and Remuneration Commission (SRC)

Upon offer of employment, the successful candidates shall present evidence of having satisfied the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 by providing the following:
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
- Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board. (HELB).
- Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-CorruptionCommission (EACC).
- A Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
