The System Administrator is responsible for providing effective operational and maintenance support for the Network ,Windows, Linux, UNIX, Solaris and related servers that host SAP ERP , Agriculture Management System , Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory .

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

• Ensuring high availability (99.9%) of the servers to support mission-critical applications;
• Ensuring that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and business partners;
• Custodian of all ICT hardware and Software inventory and ensure that an up-to-date ICT Assets Register is maintained;
• Day-to-day management of the Data Centre(s);
• Designing, deploying, and maintaining the Local Area Network (LAN), VLAN, and Wide Area Network (WAN);
• Managing, configuring, and maintaining all the Windows Server OS, Solaris OS, Exchange Servers, including the related tools and utilities;
• Management of user accounts on the Active Directory as per the Company ICT policy;
• Performing daily Windows backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up;
• Repairing and recovering from hardware or software failures;
• Guiding end users with basic systems troubleshooting techniques;
• Ensuring high levels of Systems Availability, Uptime, and Security;
• Ensuring that the Data Centre is secured, clean, and meets the set standard requirements on safety, security, and is free from environmental hazards;
• Participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation;
• Maintaining the requisite documentation, registers, logs, and records of all key activities at the Data Centre;
• Any other responsibility that shall be assigned by your team leader.

Person Specification /Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Sciences or equivalent;
• ICT certifications in key industry products (Windows Server, CCNA, UNIX, Oracle, Cisco, Solaris, ITIL);
• Eight (8) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been at a supervisory level;
• Experience in handling Solaris, Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, Antivirus, and Networking systems;
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
