Senior Procurement Officer Job Qona Sacco

Qona DT Sacco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, supplier management, contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and policies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation and cost-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with strategic goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships for cost-effective procurement.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and audit requirements.
• Oversee tendering processes, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Manage procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain procurement records and generate reports for management.
• Engage with stakeholders to enhance procurement efficiency and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate degree is an added advantage.
• Certifications: Must be a Certified Procurement and Supply Professional (CPSP-K) or a member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM). CIPS (UK) certification is an added advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in procurement, with at least 3 years in a senior role within a financial institution, SACCO, or related organization.

• Excellent negotiation, financial management, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in ERP procurement systems and e-procurement platforms.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and compliance with procurement regulations.
