Oncology Tutor Job Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital
Main Purpose
- To deliver quality teaching to students and produce qualified professional oncology nurses.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate learning activities in Paediatric Oncology program
- Provide theoretical and clinical instructions of students to ensure mastery of skills.
- Monitor students’ performance to maintain instructional standard.
- Develop and review curriculum in line with Nursing Council requirements.
- Conduct tests for (theory and practical) and evaluation of student’s assignment and performance
- Maintains clinical capabilities via regular clinical practice and take responsibility for own professional development.
- Participate in quality programs, clinical audit and research.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BscN).
- Higher National Diploma in Oncology/Paediatric Oncology nursing or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year working experience as a Tutor.
- Certification as a TVET instructor is desirable and an added advantage.
- Certificate in any Paediatric Resuscitation skills will be an added advantage.
- Valid Nursing Council of Kenya Practice license.
- Nursing Council of Kenya Registration Certificate.
