Oncology Tutor Job Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital

Main Purpose

  • To deliver quality teaching to students and produce qualified professional oncology nurses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate learning activities in Paediatric Oncology program
  • Provide theoretical and clinical instructions of students to ensure mastery of skills.
  • Monitor students’ performance to maintain instructional standard.
  • Develop and review curriculum in line with Nursing Council requirements.
  • Conduct tests for (theory and practical) and evaluation of student’s assignment and performance
  • Maintains clinical capabilities via regular clinical practice and take responsibility for own professional development.
  • Participate in quality programs, clinical audit and research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BscN).
  • Higher National Diploma in Oncology/Paediatric Oncology nursing or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year working experience as a Tutor.
  • Certification as a TVET instructor is desirable and an added advantage.
  • Certificate in any Paediatric Resuscitation skills will be an added advantage.
  • Valid Nursing Council of Kenya Practice license.
  • Nursing Council of Kenya Registration Certificate.
