Role Overview

As our Accounts Officer, you’ll play a central role in managing receivables and payables, cash flow, tax compliance, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a structured environment and is ready to contribute to sound financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage receivables, invoicing, and follow-ups on outstanding balances
  • Oversee payables and execute scheduled payments with accuracy
  • Handle daily banking, petty cash management, and reconciliations
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Kenyan tax laws (PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, VAT, WHT)
  • Prepare timely financial reports, cash flow statements, and audit support
  • Monitor expenses against budgets and enforce cost controls

Qualifications

  • CPA Part II (Section 4 or higher) – CPA finalist or degree in Finance/Accounting is a plus
  • 1-2 years’ accounting experience, ideally in legal or professional services
  • -Proficient in accounting tools like QuickBooks/Sage, Excel, and online banking
  • Strong grasp of tax filing procedures and statutory compliance
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for accuracy and audit-readiness
