Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd vision is to be a world class producer of dairy brands while the Mission is to consistently provide affordable high quality brands to the market through application of best business practices for the maximization of stakeholders’ value.

Job Purpose

Support GDFCS members to increase their production and profitability through improved dairy practices and husbandry

Key Responsibilities

• Capacity building of dairy farmers
• Raw milk quality assurance
• Handling members’ questions and complaints related to milk quality, feeding, animal health, housing, production and farm management.
• Working closely with key stakeholders in Prevention and management of common livestock diseases affecting dairy cows
• Monitoring of farmers’ progress

Qualifications

• Certificate in food science, certificate in general agriculture, certificate in animal health, certificate in Dairy technology or Applied Sciences
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in dairy value chain operations
• Motor bike rider’s license is a definite advantage for this position
• Proficient in computer operations
• KCSE-Minimum C- Grade.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer care Oriented
• Requires minimum supervision
• Able to work under pressure
• Self-driven & confident
