Role Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement Department. The successful candidate will manage sourcing, procurement planning, vendor relations, and ensure efficient purchasing processes to support operations at our Kisumu factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process internal purchase requisitions.
• Source quotations (bids) and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Prepare and maintain procurement plans.
• Process Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and Local Service Orders (LSOs).
• Provide logistical support for training and meetings, including venue booking and procurement of supplies.
• Process vendor invoices and reconcile vendor accounts.
• Set up and maintain vendor contracts.
• Conduct market surveys and maintain a cost database of frequently procured items.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a busy procurement office, preferably in a manufacturing environment (preferred but not mandatory).
• Solid knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and systems. Experience with SAP is an added advantage.
