Job Summary:

The Land Policy and Legal Consultant will lead sessions on the legal frameworks governing land acquisition in Kenya and how they align with global safeguard standards. The consultant will equip participants with the skills to interpret land tenure systems, manage compulsory acquisition processes, and design fair compensation mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures on compulsory acquisition, compensation frameworks, and land tenure.
• Compare Kenyan land laws with international safeguard policies (World Bank, IFC, AfDB).
• Provide practical insights through case studies (e.g., Konza Technopolis, SGR).

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Law, Land Policy, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in land law and acquisition projects.
• Proven track record in training/facilitation.
