Maintenance Manager Job Mini Group

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
  • Supervise technicians, electricians, forklift operators, and drivers.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, food safety (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC), and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee boilers, refrigeration, water treatment, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments, enforce safe work procedures, and support compliance audits.
  • Monitor machine performance and recommend upgrades for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, downtime reports, and cost analyses.
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in the maintenance team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance management within food processing, edible oils, or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Occupational Trade Tests III/II/I for machine operators from a recognized institution.
  • First Aid Certificate Course (minimum 1 week) from a recognized institution.
  • Experience with oil extraction equipment or similar processing machinery is a plus
