Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
- Supervise technicians, electricians, forklift operators, and drivers.
- Manage spare parts inventory and supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, food safety (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC), and environmental regulations.
- Oversee boilers, refrigeration, water treatment, and electrical systems.
- Conduct risk assessments, enforce safe work procedures, and support compliance audits.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend upgrades for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, downtime reports, and cost analyses.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in the maintenance team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance management within food processing, edible oils, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Occupational Trade Tests III/II/I for machine operators from a recognized institution.
- First Aid Certificate Course (minimum 1 week) from a recognized institution.
- Experience with oil extraction equipment or similar processing machinery is a plus
