Duties and Responsibilities

• implementing nutrition programmes; providing nutrition services in health care facilities;
• Conducting nutrition assessments; collecting and compiling nutrition data;
• providing nutrition health education and demonstrations;
• counseling of patients with specific nutritional needs;
• monitoring preparation of therapeutic feeds;
• implementing outpatient and inpatient supplementary and therapeutic feeding programmes;
• promoting maternal, infant and young children feeding programmes; and providing micronutrient supplementation
• Shall work in a flexible shift
• Strong commitment to patient care
• Any other relevant duty and responsibility within the County Health Department

Qualifications:

Requirements

• Hold a diploma in nutrition and dietetics from an accredited medical institution
• Has a registration certificate with the nutrition and dietetic council of Kenya
• Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution
