Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive (BDE) to identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth for Merican Limited. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Kenyan market, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to ensure long-term business growth.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design campaigns that align with business development goals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights to management.
- Represent Merican Limited at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in commercial equipment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the Kenyan market and business landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Knowledge of Commercial Kitchen Equipment is a plus.
