Ramco Group Sacco Society is a fast-growing, licensed Non-Withdrawable Deposit-Taking Sacco with membership drawn from Ramco Group of Companies. We are committed to providing innovative financial solutions, excellent customer service, and sustainable growth.

To strengthen our leadership team, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic, visionary, and results- oriented professional to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Key Responsibilities

The CEO shall be responsible for providing overall strategic leadership, management, and oversight of the SACCO’s operations in line with the Sacco Societies (Non-Withdrawable Deposit-Taking Sacco Business) Regulations, 2020, and other applicable laws. The CEO will:

• Develop and implement the SACCO’s strategic and business plans.
• Oversee day-to-day operations for efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
• Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements (SASRA,).
• Provide effective leadership and capacity building for staff.
• Drive membership growth, product innovation, and customer satisfaction.
• Advise and report to the Board of Directors on performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Foster strong stakeholder relationships (members, regulators, partners, and communities).
• Demonstrate success in driving growth and improving organizational performance.
• Sound knowledge of Saccos’ regulations and the regulator’s (SASRA) guidelines on Saccos.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Sacco business model & other operational issues of the Sacco.
• Proven proficiency in utilizing computerized accounting systems to streamline financial operations and enhance decision-making.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills.
• Agent of transformation – introducing and implementing institutional changes and organizational development strategies.
• Impeccable integrity and commitment to ethical values and standards.
• Adept at providing visionary leadership on talent and people management.
• Capability in strategy formulation and execution, change management and performance management.
• Skilled in inspiring and directing cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Possess dynamic entrepreneurial insight with strategic competence.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Cooperative Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in financial services, of which must be at senior management level in a regulated financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of Sacco Societies Act, SASRA Regulations, and cooperative principles.
• Proven experience in strategic leadership, financial management, and risk management.
