Duties and responsibilities

An officer in this level is responsible for:

• Driving University vehicles
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness
• Reporting any vehicle defects to immediate supervisor
• Observing vehicle preventive maintenance
• Adhere closely to the highway code
• Be courteous and professional in dealing with passengers
• Ensuring work-tickets authorized. 

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade one must have:

• KCSE certificate or equivalent qualification
• Valid Driving License Class D1, D2 and D3 with PSV endorsement
• Passed Occupational Trade Test I for PSV drivers
• Certificate of good conduct 
• Special professional driving license will be an added advantage
• At least six (6) years working experience
• Provide daily preventive maintenance of vehicles
