Regional Construction Supervisor Job Ai-CHA Ice Cream & Tea

Ai-CHA Ice Cream & Tea is a prominent beverage company in Kenya, dedicated to offering high-quality drinks crafted from the freshest ingredients. They are seeking to hire a Regional Construction Supervisor to oversee construction in Nairobi and East Africa.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise the complete construction process of new and remodeled stores in the region, ensuring adherence to company standards and construction specifications. Independently resolve on-site issues as they arise.
• Conduct project initiation meetings and final acceptance inspections to ensure timely delivery in accordance with contract terms.
• Regularly report project progress based on each project’s timeline.
• Familiarize yourself with store equipment and train store operation staff on basic usage and maintenance.
• Oversee construction quality to ensure alignment with brand image, design intent, and operational requirements.
• Integrate data from local contractors and suppliers; identify potential partners according to company criteria and report findings to regional management.
• Control project costs by optimizing local materials and labor pricing, and create and maintain a cost database for reference and future use.
• Develop and maintain a localized materials database that meets design requirements while adapting to regional conditions.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil Engineering, MEP, Interior Design, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supervising construction or renovation projects in chain restaurants or retail settings.
• Experience in managing teams and understanding the construction characteristics of FMCG-related stores (e.g., workflow layout, installation of refrigeration/electrical systems).
• Must be willing to travel.

Skills:

• Proficient in reviewing CAD drawings.
• Familiar with plumbing, electrical (strong/weak current), HVAC, and other construction systems used in beverage stores.
• Experienced in budgeting and cost control; holder of relevant professional certificates.
• Language: Bilingual in English and local language; Kenyan nationals preferred.
