Trainer – Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Combating Financing of Terrorism (CFT)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Consultant Trainer in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating Financing of Terrorism (CFT) to design and deliver training that equips financial institution staff with the knowledge and frameworks to detect, report, and mitigate money laundering and terrorism financing risks. The role includes developing specialized materials, facilitating sessions on detection methods and compliance, and providing technical support to ensure effective application of training.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver training on AML/CFT regulatory requirements, both local (Kenya) and international (FATF).
• Teach methodologies for identifying suspicious transactions and reporting STRs/SARs.
• Provide guidance on developing and implementing AML/CFT compliance programs.
• Facilitate workshops on Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD).
• Support financial institutions in aligning practices with Central Bank and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Compliance, or related field (Master’s degree highly preferred).
• Professional AML certifications (CAMS, ICA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in AML/CFT compliance, risk assessment, or policy development.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the financial services sector.
