Packhouse Officer Job Wilmar Flowers

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Thika for a Packhouse Officer. The Packhouse Officer will be responsible for overseeing the packing process of flowers and flower purchasing process to ensure quality and compliance with certification standards. Key tasks include managing inventory, coordinating with the agronomy team to ensure product availability, training and supervising packing and purchasing staff, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the packhouse, and working with quality control to meet export standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management, quality control, and production processes
• Skills in team supervision and training, with a focus on maintaining high standards
• Knowledge of certification standards such as Kenya Flower Council Silver and Global GAP
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with different teams
• Proficiency in data recording and reporting
• Background in agriculture or horticulture is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, management, or related field is preferred
