Medical Lab Technologist Job Lodwar Hills Hospital

Lodwar Hills Hospital is a private hospital located in Lodwar Turkana County. In the provision of care the hospital focuses on excelling in provision of quality and complete care to the people using the modern technologies and competent professionals.

We are seeking to recruit a Medical Laboratory Technologist to fill the role and to enhance the hospitals provision of top-level healthcare services. The officer will report to the Head of Lab and shall be assigned responsibilities as below:

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in workflow optimization, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests with precision and accuracy.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain modern diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality controls, external quality assessment schemes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of results.
• Uphold biosafety, biosecurity, and infection prevention protocols.

Required Qualifications

• A diploma or Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution.
• Valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy medical laboratory.
• Proficiency in operating modern diagnostic platforms and equipment’s
