Trade Marketing Manager Job Tropikal Brands

The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies across General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels to maximize brand visibility, distribution, and sales performance. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective execution of trade programs, promotions, and channel-specific initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Trade Marketing Strategy: Develop annual plans aligned with brand and sales goals, tailoring execution to General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) using shopper and consumer insights.
  • Trade Execution: Lead store activations, merchandising, promotions, product placement, and distribution programs, ensuring ROI and visibility across GT and MT.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams to design promotions, provide tools and training, and work with Key Account Managers to deliver joint business plans.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, conduct market visits, gather insights, and recommend corrective actions to strengthen trade performance.
  • Budget & Reporting: Manage trade marketing budgets, track KPIs and ROI, and deliver actionable insights for management decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Experience: 5-8 years in FMCG trade marketing, preferably in manufacturing with strong GT & MT exposure and sales background.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience in General Trade execution (distributors, wholesalers, and sales).
  • Proven experience in Modern Trade execution (supermarkets, key accounts, retail chains).
  • Strong understanding of category management, shopper marketing, and trade promotions.
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentations.
