Transcribers / Translators Job IRES

Location: Kilifi County, Kenya (Ganze, Kilifi North, Malindi, Rabai & Kaloleni Sub-counties)
Duration: Short-Term Consultancy (November 2025 – January 2026)

Overview:

The Transcribers and Translators will provide transcription, translation, and documentation services for qualitative data collected during research assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transcribe FGDs and KIIs accurately and verbatim.
• Translate Kiswahili/local dialects into professional English.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure data handling.
• Deliver clean, formatted transcripts within agreed timelines.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Communication, or Social Sciences.
• Proven experience in research transcription and translation.
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Kiswahili.
